Great looking can shroud
It looks great, i originally thought it was blank black but it does have white text on them stating .300 blackout and stuff. Looks great, doesnt fit my slimline handguard but fits my other one perfectly, which is the one i bought it for anyway.

You are correct, it slips over the barrel and the threads are where the muzzle would be. In theory, I am sure you could reverse it if you wanted to.

It does not add any length to the end of the barrel. It acts as a barrel shroud and covers the last 5.75" of your barrel.
