Savage A17 Magazine not very durable.
I bought one as a spare for my other two to use at the range. Figured that since it was a Savage Product (I like Savage too) it would work fine like my other two. Inserted it into the magazine well and it wouldn't lock into place. Inspected it and noticed the release tab too close to the magazine body. I tried to pull it back into position and the tab snapped off making the mag unusable. Note: this wasn't a Neanderthal effort, just a slight pressure on the tab. I feel it should have been made a bit more robust or some steel and not just plastic used. Since it was 1 of my 3 magazines that failed, then 3 stars was all it deserved. And why no steel in the follower lips, these things will surely wear out quickly since they are designed for a semi-auto? The only reason I'd recommend it, is because it was made by the manufacturer and its hard to find replacements here in Austin, TX. Pros: Smooth Feed Cons: Locking tab is flimsy

Locked right in! No drop out. Perfect.
Same as the mag delivered with my new rifles (A17 & B17). Loaded easily, locked solidly in place, no misfeeds yet, great product. If you have either an A17 or B17, this is the magazine to get! Pros: Feeds smoothly
