It's a-ok
Works functionally and aesthetically. Just wish there was instructions or a supplied allen/hex wrench tool. Not fun to put together otherwise.

Absolutely Love This Stock!!
The ProMag 702 stock replacement for the Mossberg 702 and Rossi RS22 is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Seriously. For, $60 shipped, this turned my Rossi RS22 into possibly my very favorite gun to shoot. AND..it looks very cool. It's a breeze to install(just be sure to unscrew the bolt in the grip). It keeps the rifle lightweight and easy to stow with the folding stock. The addition of 3 rails is a huge plus. And did I mention how cool my rifle looks now.... Pros: 3 Rails.

Great for the price
This stock is a major upgrade from the factory one. It has some small issues, but they are fixed very easily. I recommend this stock to anyone looking to upgrade their Mossberg 702 Pros: Ergonomic Cons: Hard to install/remove

Great product.
Love this stock. Installed it on my Rossi RS22. It feels more comfortable to handle and aim now. Absolutely great price. Like other reviews say, make sure to get the top panel off with the screw in the handle.
May 7, 2020
yes
This is a great add on to my Rossi RS 22. You have to loosen the Allen bolt inside the handle before the RS 22 will fit into the promag stock, Don't take it all the way out it's hard to get back in. Just work it loose it will come apart and slide the gun in. Awesome

Good product - some instructions might help
Cool product and easy to install (in this case, a Rossi RS 22 lr) - but if I hadn't read the other users' reviews and found out about the need to remove the 1/4 inch allen bolt inside the grip (to take the stock apart into two sections) FIRST, I would've been wrestling with it for quite a while. I'm also annoyed that a day after it arrived, I see CTD lowered their listing price by nearly $10 from when I bought it about 2 weeks ago. :-/ Oh well - nice product and easy upgrade overall. Turns your standard semi-auto 22 into something with a bit more flair and versatility.

Open the trap door in the pistol grip!
I really like this stock. The pistol grip is comfortable to hold with a more modern angle. The hand guard is ergonomic allowing for small and large hands to hold it. The folding stock is solid in both positions. The rails on the fore end a nice tough allowing the addition of a flashlight or other accessories. I was able to use electrical tape to mount the pressure switch to the hand guard. The only issue I had was figuring out how to install the receiver. Open the trap door in the pistol grip and unscrew the large Allen bolt in order to remove the stock. This will allow you to drop the receiver and barrel in to the promag stock. I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure it out before finding a tip online. Other than that, this is a great upgrade to a Mossberg 702 Plinkster or Rossi RS22. Pros: cheap Cons: no instructions included

No instructions
Good product. However, per the other reviews, no instructions. With the amount of space on the cardboard with the packaging, you would think a quick 'how to' would be included.
October 22, 2019
I would have gave it 5 stars but no instructions.
it says drop in but you got to go inside the handle and there is a nut to back off so the the 702 plinkerster will drop in .then it was a piece of cake. I fought it until I figured it out.

Fits perfectly with the Rossi rs22
Great stock and fits perfectly on my budget Rossi rs22. If you are not trying to drop $400 on a 10/22 this stock is absolutely perfect for your rs22 or 702 plinkster. Pros: multiple mounting points Cons: folding retainer clip feels stronger than hinge

I would recommend this stock to anyone with a 702
Looks great nicely designed and easy to install I recommend getting a 25 round clip or 3 for it makes it look so much better and with the rails on the front gives u the options for a trypod or foregrip with laser sight and flashlight love the look and feel of it and the storage compartment in the handle is small but can hold a small survival kit like fishing line and hooks and sinkers or anything u can fit in it

Better then sliced bread
I absolutely love the feel and stability if this stock.. I bought a tri pod foregrip and a red dot sight and it performs great

Very nice upgrade. Easy install.
The install was easy but didn't come with instructions. There is a storage compartment in the grip (which does not fit a 10 rd. mag unfortunately) and in there, the grip is held on with a 1/4" allen. Remove the grip, install the Plinkster guts, screw in the stock front screw loosely, screw in the new grip with the 1/4" allen, tighten the front screw. Done. Solid piece. I haven't had a chance to run any rounds through it since I installed it, but since the scope I use is mounted to the Plinkster-guts directly, I doubt there will be any issues. Looks like it can be fired in the folded position, no problem. The folding stock has a nice rubber butt. Good for traction though not needed for recoil of course. The stock folded out is held quite solidly with a push button release. The stock is held in the folded position with a friction type clip. It's a little hard to release that but it'll probably break in. I hope it doesn't break in so well that it releases too easily. The rail mounts on the front are a lot better than trying to use sling point mounts for bipods or what have you. I've read the 25 rd. mags are a little wobbly in this. They are wobbly in the stock piece too. Even the 10 rd. mag is wobbly if you look closely. I added a rubber overgrip for the fun of it. Can't wait to try it out. I feel like I can get my eye in the reticle a little easier with this than the stock version. There are not a lot of online images out there for this product. I hope these pictures help someone decide.

Good budget stock for the price.
I wanted a newer updated look to my 702 plunder and this was it.
July 29, 2018
Must buy
Works great comes clean and ready for paint and customization very good price little hard to fold out stock but folds up easy did not come with instructions there is a bolt inside the handle that has to be loosened up in order to install the rifle on the stock would not suggest the big 25 round mags as they fit sloppy on the original stock and new stock.
July 24, 2018
Awesome!!
I got bored with the standard stock of the Mossberg. I came across this stock and had to buy it. It's relatively new on the market so I wasn't able to look at any reviews before, but at this price I went for it and I'm glad I did! It looks so much better and was easy to install. I purchased the 25 round AR style mags before and they are compatible with this stock. Very satisfied. I feel like I got a new rifle again, thanks!!!
