The Field Series line of stocks fetures the ergonomics of the Kicklite series of without recoil reduction. I read multiple reviews before making the purchase. There were some who said it didn’t fit properly. I figured, at the price, I would take the chance. I have a maverick shotgun, and it fits perfectly, and took under 5 minutes to install. It has the look I wanted, but I have not fired the gun since installation. Other than making a judgement involving shooting, I am very satisfied. It is nice having the extra shells attached. It allows you to choose a different load for your shooting situation.

Got my Maverick 88 with a folding stock on it from my gun shop. That stock was great but every time I’d shoot it, the top of my thumb would get pinched in it. Decided to change it out to this one and it’s 100x better. Lifetime warranty on it also!

I needed an extra inch of pull for the right price and this fit the bill. I was Leary because I've never had a pistol grip on my 12 ga.'s. It's surprisingly comfortable and I'm hoping the grip will give me less rotation on my swing. Good construction. I'd recommend.

This stock is a cool upgrade from the factory stock that comes with the Maverick 88. The stock feels sturdy once I installed it and it didn't take that long. The lever under the trigger is kind of blocked off more by the pistol stock but I'm left handed so my finger naturally rests against it. I took it to the range to shoot some slugs and buckshots and the recoil was tremendously different from the factory stock that came with the 88. The recoil is fine with the standard 88 stock but with this pistol grip stock my shoulder started to hurt after a couple shots. After about 15 shots I called it a day, my shoulder was slightly bruised. Unless I find a recoil pad that fits for the pistol grip stock I will be switching back to the standard stock.

Super easy to install.to remove the old stock take out 2 Phillip screws and use a 1/2 socket with a long extension. To install the new one use the supplied allen wrench..my shell holder came with 3 screws. It's hard to access the thumb slide now .I have to hold the gun on a weird angle..and the fitment looks poor. But for the price it will do the trick..once installed in the shortest position it's 36 inch long and fully extended is 41 inch's my factory stock was 40 inch's long

Wish this kit would include screws for the optional shotgun caddy, but even without it, it's a great looking accessory and better stock and feel than the standard stock of the maverick 88 security. The grip angle feels a lot more comfortable than the standard stock. The slide release a little harder to get to, but it's just moving from your middle finger to your thumb to access it. I like that the shell holder can be added to either side and the recoil pad feels about the same as the original. Pros: Light, easy install Cons: Blocks slide release

I was excited to shoot the 88 with the new stock and then it collapsed every time I shot with it extended at any length. Kind of embarrassing in front of my buddy. You get what you pay for. It will still work though for home defense. Anybody else have the same problem?

Maverick 88; removal of OE stock was very simple with a ratchet, extension and 13 mm sicker. Installation of Phoenix Technologies stock was equally as simple with the included Allen wrench, and side saddle for extra rounds was an easy install as well. Love the look and the adjustability of the stock, but haven't fired yet to determine reduction of recoil. My reason for giving it four stars is the same as previous reviews; difficult to reach slide release with right thumb. Otherwise, couldn't be happier with it so far. Can't wait to put some rounds down range. Pros: Great fit and finish, simple install Cons: Slide release is now difficult to reach

Everything about the stock works great, only downside is it kind of blocks the slide guard near the trigger. it is still functional and you can still get at it, but just not as convenient as it was before. i think its worth it though, the stock looks incredible on the gun and seems to be very solid. would definitely recommend.

Fast shipping! Exactly as stated. Installation was a breeze. Gun shoulders nicely with this installed. I have not shot the gun with this installed, but it seems like your cheek is a little "off" the top of the stock. The action release is a little limited by the forward end of the stock, but I'm left handed, so the top of the web of my left hand naturally rests against it anyway.

I saw many comments that said the fit was not great. I still made the purchase because of the great price. I was extremely pleased that it fit perfectly and looks great. Not sure if it was a manufacture error or operator error for those that the fit was not great. I highly recommend for someone considering this product.

I got this stock because the original was uncomfortable for me. I had a hard time reaching the trigger. This adjustable stock is way more comfortable plus holds extra shells. It seems to be well made and worth the money.

This was a quick and easy install. I bought this for my Mossberg 500 and it is a great replacement. Love the pistol grip and the adjustable length allows for it to extend further than the original stock, yet be flexible enough for my wife to use it or make it better for home security.

Just installed the stock. Not happy with the fit around the pistol grip on the receiver. There is a 1/4 inch gap. Fit could be much better but you get what you pay for. We'll see if the gap causes any issues as I shoot it...

Two minutes to take the old stock off my Maverick 88. It's easy with a 1/2' socket and extension. Includes an Allen wrench. One minute to put this one on. Works good. Feels great. Nice pad and sticky grip. Haven't fired my maverick yet but couldn't be happier so far.

I put this on my maverick 88 and it fits perfectly, took it hunting and took several rabbits. the stock is a little loose on the slide, but it is stable when shouldered. It doesn't jerk around when aiming. Best possible buy for the price.

Got this to replace a pistol grip for my Maverick 88 12 gauge and to take some of the sting out of my hand when shooting. Nice collapsible stock for under arm or lower hip use, a HUGE rubber buttpad to absorb shock and the shotshell side saddle goes on either side based on preference and is more rubberized than the stock so it's easily pliable and holds the shells firmly. Removed the old grip and installed this in all of about five minutes and I'm not anyone I'd ever consider 'handy.' Good finish with the trigger and assembly and it's nice when it looks like it was meant to be there. I had to relearn how to get at the slide release but nothing dire. Absolutely recommended upgrade for people that thought pistol grip shotguns were awesome but can't stand the hand pain associated with it.

Was looking at getting a Knoxx stock but read some very poor reviews, chose this one instead. Went on very quickly and easily, feels very well made, shotshell holder is also very nice feature. Love the stock and it was exactly what I wanted, only issue is it didn't come with tools required to install like this ad says it does, so I gave it 4 bullets for inconvenience. Other than that great product, would recommend to a friend.

First bought the Mav 88 and recoil was what I expected from a 12 gauge. Installed the stock within a few minutes and ran some rounds through it not expecting a change in recoil, and actually noticed a significant difference with the stock. Only issue; it is a tad more difficult to reach the slide release by the trigger guard. Overall great choice in aftermarket stock replacement

This stock is a good replacement for your factory stocks that come on the Mossberg Maverick 88. It does install quickly and easily, just extent the stock all the way out so your hex key can tighten the bolt easily and freely. The side saddle does have a little play, and that is part of the reason I give it 4 bullets. The other is that I have not shot my Maverick 88 since installing the stock and can't judge its feel when shooting yet. It is comfortable and to be able to adjust it to my length of pull is awesome. Slide release button is harder to reach with a pistol grip, but not hard to deal with. Good product overall and love it a lot.

i bought this because it said it was specifically for the Maverick 88. Most are Mossberg 500/ Maverick units. PROS: It went on in 2-3 minutes once I had the original stock off. The included Allen wrench made it a snap. It came with a side saddle for either left or right side. Feels great, nice recoil pad. Pistol grip helps swing it up to shoot skeet. Adjustable stock lets my son & I to share the gun. CONS: My side saddle is a little loose. They warned about over tightening it so it's a bit lose but the stock is rounded there so I think there will always be some play. They pistol group changes the access to the pump release button on the left side by trigger. No biggie, I learned a different reach within 5 minutes. RESULTS: A keeper well worth the money.
