The Phoenix Technologies KickLite Series of stocks recoil reduction stocks are taking the industry by storm. People are absolutely in love with the 40-50% of recoil reduction absorbed by the KickLite Recoil suppression system. The KickLite system is a fully integrated and maintenance free system made up of an aluminum shaft and heavy duty spring inside a commercial spec buffer tube. The system allows for 3/4" of rearward travel of the pistol grip upon discharging a round. This design allows for quicker follow up shots, reduced shooter fatigue and improved accuracy. Best of all this system can easily be installed by you without the need to hire a gun smith.

Absolutely Perfect
I needed something adjustable for my 590, the original stock is a bit too long for me. The Phoenix Kicklite is amazing, super comfortable, easy to adjust and swapped it out in less than 10 minutes. I can feel a big difference in recoil. I love it!

Holy Recoil Reduction!
I bought this not expecting much recoil reduction. I'm happy to say that my 12ga Mossberg is now an absolute joy to shoot. The first time I took it out, I only put 10 rounds of #8 shot down range with the factory stock. I was bruised a little and felt it the next day. Yesterday, I took it out and ran 50 plus rounds of the same ammo, AND 10 slugs. No bruising. No soreness. This stock has made my shotgun my absolute favorite of my collection. Pros: 40-50% recoil reduction, affordable, easy instal Cons: As others have said, rattles a little

As someone with a bad shoulder, I love mine.
I'm a 42 year old shooter who used to be VERY avid, but hadn't really shot in a long time, and was never really into shotguns, in fact, being on the lanky side, I tended to avoid them. After nearly a decade off shooting (and after a torn rotator cuff) we had a situation that made me remember the words I'd heard hundreds of times over the years from my mentors, "for home defense, get yourself a pump 12ga" Luckily, I found a barely used Maverick 88 security, who's previous owner had fitted with with this stock, the cheek rest for it, side saddles, and a red dot, at a pawn shop for $200 even. A bit "tachticooled" out for my aesthetic, but I figured more mass=reduced recoil... I found a range I liked, but they only allow slugs... This had me nervous, but after a few rounds I found this shotgun to be a joy to shoot compared to what I'd remembered. I honestly never thought I'd LOVE shooting shotgun, but it's now my favorite part of going to the range. Comparing it with firing the same rounds in my buddys' stock scatterguns, there's DEFINITELY a BIG difference.... Paired with a vertical forend to distribute recoil even more, I can shoot full load slugs all day and only barely feel it a bit the next... With reduced recoil "mini slugs" I might as well have spent the day shooting an old .38 lever action in terms of soreness after (as in there ain't none). This means I can concentrate on practicing technique, which means I'm not only a lot better then I ever was with 12ga, but a LOT more confident. Within a session or two I no longer flinched, at all, and now I can honestly say I can put shots wherever I want them, perform both rapid cycling, and confident reloads... I'm not looking to get back into hunting (I'm lazy and like my sleep) but I definitely want to try getting a field barrel for clays, something I formerly had no interest in. Pros: DEFINITELY reduces recoil, Solid construction,

Has an odd angle to it
I noticed right away that this stock is angled down much more than the factory stock. The butt plate on the factory stock is almost perpendicular to the centerline of the shotgun while this Kick Lite stock has an angle to it. The butt plate is angled around 10 to 15 degrees down from the centerline of the gun. The stock also seems to push into my cheekbone when shooting. I did not notice that with the factory stock.

I would buy this product over and over without fail
Removed my stock pistol grip with shock absorber for this stock. Worth every penny!!!!

Spend the time to look for better options
Cannot recommend this item for a Mossberg 590. It does not provide a proper fit with gaps along trigger guard. Do your self a favor and look at the ATI line. They come with pieces for specific manufacturers for a clean factory look.

Probably not
This set up dont fit good and the metal is not any good 50 rounds of target shot Winchester ammo bent and broke it and I followed the instructions to the fullest when installing I recommend if u looking out 4 a real review unlike the fake 1s fo not buy this setup

This is a great item!!
The product came in perfect shape and the install was quick and simple. I haven't had a chance to shoot since the install but it looks great and feels really good. I will add more after shooting tomorrow.

A little disappointed, but so far so good
Installation was easy, but there is a noticeable rattle between the two parts of the adjustable stock. Pin seats fine after letting go of the adjustment lever, but the whole body of the adjustable portion rattles on the rail. Visually looks like there is almost a quarter inch of play.
April 19, 2018
Works as advertised
It was easy to install on my son's new 535. It reduces recoil significantly.

Easy Install. Would Buy Again.
Installed in literally 3 minutes. Went onto my Mossberg 500 Wild Hog Edition without any issues. Performance is as expected. Fitment was great.

Easy install on older 500a
Was able to replace the pistol grip on my older (early 90s) Mossberg 500a in just a couple of minutes. I was able to put around 50 rounds downrange with no real discomfort -- pretty happy with this. I will say that if you have long arms, you may find that at the maximum length, the pull is still a bit short.

Perfect adjustable stock you can switch to other guns
Just installed it last week on my Maverick 88 (easy 5 mins).Took it out to the range with my buddies, tried birdshot, buckshot and slugs. Still had a kick but not too bad. I really enjoy the feel, control and look of this stock and would recomend it to anyone.

Nice buy, though it makes it hard for cleaning Mossberg
Mossber 500a, 0It fits pretty good, but noticed through installation it makes it hard to reassemble the trigger assembly. Good feel shooting none the less. But makes cleaning hard unless you sand down where the pistol grip meets were the trigger assembly slides in. Might be a way to get the trigger housing in, but had to take off the stock to put that in and reassemble the stock after

Exactly what I wanted
After much research, I selected the Phoenix Technology Recoil Reducing tactical stock for my Mossberg 500, and after just returning from my backyard range, I love it. It eliminated my pre-trigger pulling flinch habit and I can now shoot all day. I highly recommend it. It's well made, light weight, and very comfortable to shoulder. The Mesa system was too expensive for my budget, and after shooting with the Phoenix Technology stock, I don't need the Mesa.

5 stars all the way on this product. It greatly reduces recoil on my shotgun and reduces muzzle rise for fast follow up shots. Installation took about 5 minutes with the supplied wrench. Installed on a Mossberg 500 20 gauge ( The stocks for Mossberg 12 and 20 gauge use the same mounts ). This is the best stock I have found for my shotgun. I also own the Magpul and Hogue. This is easily the best due to recoil reduction and adjustable length of pull.

Pump shotguns tend to rec
Pump shotguns tend to recoil hard and Mossbergs seem to be even harder. This set up reduced the felt recoil by 50 percent and made it enjoyable to shoot. Plus the adjustable stock fits those of different heights. It is a great addition to a Mossberg or any gun that Kicklite makes them for.

Great product, easy to install. Definite reduction in recoil shooting slugs, very little recoil when shooting #6 shot.

This stock is absolutely
This stock is absolutely amazing. You can adjust the LOP to pretty much any size person to make it a comfortable hold. I used it for the first time yesterday and dumped off 150+ rounds of various shot. No shoulder pain whatsoever. I shot still targets as well as clay discs. The design allows for aim in any situation. The foregrip doesn't fit with a heat shield, but I could care less about that feature. An awesome product nonetheless.

Ordered this stock and foregrip on Dec. 2nd and received it on Dec. 6th. The stock seems very sturdy and the collapsible stock make quick adjustment to maintain my sight picture in my slug gun's scope, depending on how thick the clothing is I am wearing (very important on those cold deer hunting days).Installation was a breeze, and an added bonus is the foregrip nut wrench included with the stock. Two thumbs up.

We just purchased the black version of this stock. If you have an older Mossberg like my 500-A, you are gonna spend 4 hours filing and grinding it to fit the forearm tube. Also, as far as recoil reduction, I didn't even get to the 3 inch mags, because the 2-3/4 showed maybe a 20% reduction with 00 or slugs. Can't imagine 3 inch showing much improvement at all. As well as a little too flimsy, fight goes hand to hand using the buttstock as a weapon would be pointless. Better off using it as a club. Not worth the money or work involved, but I own it now.

I bought this stock for m
I bought this stock for my Maverick 88. Just recently went to the range right before this review was written with the reduced recoil stock installed (which is a breeze). I was very pleased with how much recoil was reduced(I would say 40-50% reduction). I got quicker target aquisition as I got more comfortable shooting fast. After 30min of throwing slugs downrange I noticed one very important thing: MY SHOULDER WAS NOT BRUISED!! To put the cherry on top my range officer said that I shot real well. I guess I owe my good day partial to CTD-THANKS!!!!!!

Once I got this set on my 500, I was very pleased. Looks and feels great. Plus, I can tell that Recoil pad is gonna help out with the slugs. The only reason I gave this 4 bullets is because the pump required minor modification to fit my Moss 500. Even with the mod, installation only took about 10 minutes. Cant wait to get it out on the range!

How long is thsi stock when fully extended? Can the expansion tube be removed from the pistol grip? My right elbow and wrist are "frozen" from an accident. I hold all shotguns and rifles, right handed, with the gun at about 30 degrees turned counter clockwise. I'm trying to come up with a way to have a shoulder stock (the pad porting) at straight up and down as normally used and from the pistol grip forward at 30 degrees counterclockwise. I realize this will cause a sighting challenge but I can work with that by altering sight mounts. If it will help I can send a drawing of what Im trying to accomplish. its all about compensating for a disability that has sidelined me from serious shooting. Thanks
Answer:
No, the recoil suppression system is integral to to the pistol grip. The design prevents the tube and stock from rotating to achieve the angle you're seeking.
