Hornady's American Whitetail Ammunition is crafted specifically to provide the very best possible performance for hunting whitetail deer. Available in all popular deer hunting calibers, this is the perfect ammunition for you! Opening day of deer season comes only once a year. Make sure you're ready when the big one steps out and load-up with Hornady American Whitetail ammunition.

Hornady InterLock bullets lock the core and jacket together with a copper ring inside of the bullet, to physically ensure core retention, and maximize energy transfer to the target. The soft point bullets have an exposed lead tip and a broader point diameter that provides rapid, controlled expansion at somewhat lower velocities.

Saved me in a pinch
After a disappointing experience with Remington Core Lokt at the range the week before my first hunt (failure to fire on no less than six rounds from two boxes), I felt compelled to find a new cartridge. With no time left to sight in again, I selected the same grain and hoped the slightly increased speed of the Hornady Whitetail wouldn't make much difference. On the last day of my hunt, sitting under a small pine tree on the side of a power line cut, three does popped out about sixty yards away. After selecting my quarry I made my shot, the doe shuddered, quickly stumbled twenty yards and then quickly expired. My confidence in the performance of Hornady's American Whitetail cartridge and Interlock bullet is now firmly secured. Pros: Accurate

Have a question about this?

This will be displayed next to your question.

I have a 1943 M-1 grand that fires the M2 ball ammunition would I be able to use this ammunition in my Weapon?
Answer: I recommend using ammunition that was designed for the M1 Garand. Try item # 22926 or AMM-473-121.
