Its 13.9" cold hammer forged barrel features a chrome lined bore, 1:7 twist, and 1/2x28 threads outfitted with a pinned HUXWRX flash hider (16" OAL). This impressive barrel is paired with their Reliability Enhanced bolt carrier group and Stressproof bolt head which is protected by a Nanoweapon coating. Ensuring reliable function and smooth recoil impulse, Geissele also chose a mid-length gas system with a super compact gas block that neatly tucks under the 12.9" SMR MK16 free float rail.

The MK16 handguard gives it an aggressive look while incorporating the Geissele center tab design, a continuous top picatinny rail, two stainless steel QD sling mount inserts, and plenty of M-LOK slots to mount your favorite accessories. Super Duty MOD1's also come with the ambidextrous Airborne charging handle to promote easy firearm manipulation without getting in the way or snagging on gear. This upper measures 23.25" long and is excellent for any build looking to achieve superior performance. While it does have a 13.9" barrel, the pinned and welded flash hider brings the overall length to 16" and does not require ATF approval for use on a rifle lower. Do not attempt to remove the flash hider without getting prior ATF approval as doing this will subject it to NFA regulations.
