The average police response time is around 10 minutes. Unfortunately, a home invader only needs a few seconds to commit unspeakable acts. Don’t give them the chance. Order your case of Fiocchi Defense Dynamics 12 Gauge ammunition and rest assured you can protect your homestead.
This shell is loaded with the usual nine pellets of buckshot – but that’s no ordinary buckshot. Unlike the 00 buck usually used by law enforcement professionals, this shell contains #1 buck. It is smaller: 0.3” in diameter instead of 0.33”, and approximately 13.3 grains lighter as well.
The #1 buck pellet does not have quite as much destructive potential as double-aught, although its effect on close-range targets is undebatably large. The primary benefit to smaller-sized buckshot is its lower likelihood of over-penetration. Although we cannot promise this shell’s shot will not pass clean through a threat, there is a reduced chance of that happening – a little added assurance that your act of self-defense will stay limited to within the confines of your own home.
This shell’s shot column weighs around .83 ounces, which produces manageable recoil when it achieves its advertised muzzle velocity of 1,250 fps. This ammunition is produced in Missouri.

Is #1 buck bigger than 00 shotgun shot, or smaller. What is pellet size based on?
Answer:
Hi John! It's smaller. The sizing works like this (shot size - diameter in inches): 000 - 0.36"; 00 - 0.33"; 0 - 0.32"; #1 - 0.30"; #2 - 0.27"; #3 - 0.25"; #4 - 0.24". The #1 buck pellet is commonly used for hunting coyote and deer, especially in thick brush where more pellets are desired (smaller pellets equal denser pattern, and therefore more shot on target when many branches and twigs are in the way). The #1 buck pellet is also effective for home defense, and preferred by those who wish to minimize risk of over-penetration that could endanger innocent bystanders (smaller pellet has less momentum, and therefore less risk of passing through target).
