Almost all shooters say they hate politics, but the sad reality is that politics affect gun access and availability more than we want to admit. Despite most shooters’ expressed dislike of these topics, political stories in The Shooter’s Log are some of our most-read items, including these top-10 posts that clearly show that battles over gun ownership never seem to go away.

  1. The only question gun owners now need to ask themselves. Are you mentally and physically prepared to do your worst to your fellow human kind in order to be free an keep and bear your arms?If you can honestly answer that question in your own mind and feel that you can. Then you know what you must do to protect your freedoms. Our fore fathers had to ask themselves the same question when they formed this country. And then they wrote some of the answers to that question in our Consitution. They wanted you to be able to freely think and come to your own answers. And do what you must do if and when the time comes.Freedom does not come free.

  5. All I see in those political posts is a lot of ignorance form left wing trolls such as Joe6pak and DSlam.

They claim they support the 2nd Amendment and vote Democrat because they believe in the issues that matter. LOL

So why are only Democrats out to ban the guns and 2nd Amendment you so claim to support? Hahaha

  6. OMG,……Guns are tools. They don’t do a damn thing until a person picks one up and puts their finger on the trigger. The backgrounds checks are sloppy and need updating. And by the way, will they ever ban the C and C machines? After all they make guns. OOPS, wait a minute, maybe the C and C operators need to have a background check too.

  8. I’ve noticed that we have a couple of “reasonable propositions” being made that no one has brought back to Sen. Feinstein. One such is that a training class be required… last time I looked soldiers spend a whole lot of time learning about weapons at something called ‘Basic Training’. Also proposed is that we shouldn’t allow Veterans subject to PTSD to own weapons… and traumatic events are hard to overcome sometimes… just ask Sen. Feinstein how much she was changed by having to put her finger in the bullet hole of her mayoral predecessor on the day he and Harvey Milk were killed. Oh wait, that would mean she couldn’t be in her right mind due to PTSD! I say we should subject her to the same litany of testing to show she is sane, as she is proposing for others! BTW, take her guns now… she shouldn’t mind, since that what she wants done to everyone else.

  9. The Bloomberg, Feinstein, Obama and Biden types need to leave politics altogether and go back to whatever it was they were doing before they started to butt their noses in to the affairs of the workin’ man and threaten the rights of the lower and middle classes. This is about being elite and flexing their muscle, not about making it a safer Country for us all to live in.
