The countdown has begun. We have less than a year on this earth.

At least according to the Mayans. However, the good people over at NASA, who are scientists and have much more education that many of us, study this stuff every day and say that the end of the Mayan calendar is not going to be the end of the world.

“Not the end of the world?” you say? Well, not exactly. It just isn’t the Mayan’s prediction that is going to do us in. It might not exactly be 2012, but it is a scientific fact that the Earth isn’t going to last forever.

The television show, Doomsday Preppers, highlights several families per episode preparing for the apocalypse. Each family has a different doomsday scenario that they are prepping for. Now, I haven’t seen all of the episodes, but I have seen quite a few and there seems to be popular reasons why the world is going to end. A solar flare or solar storm, electromagnetic pulse or EMP, an asteroid impact, supervolcano eruption, an economic collapse, or a major pandemic are all reasons why people are prepping. At the end of each episode, Doomsday Prepper’s narrators give a breakdown on the likelihood of any one of the events occurring. Since I am convinced the media wants to make all us gun nuts look like… well, nuts… they give some ridiculously low ratio probability rate for one of these catastrophic events to actually occur. Preparing for the zombie apocalypse, now that’s just silly, right? But what about a supervolcano eruption here in America? Could it happen? It sure could. So could a lot of other things.  Read on.

Solar Flare, Solar Storm

A solar flare is when the sun suddenly releases a burst of magnetic energy that produces an intense flare of radiation. Electrons, protons, and other particles speed up during a flare. We see the solar flare because it releases light. A solar flare itself cannot destroy the Earth, but the electromagnetic radiation from the solar storm can destroy satellite communication. In 1859, a massive solar storm caused telegraph lines to burst into flames. In fact, March 8 to 10, 2012 we saw and lived through, one of the biggest solar storms in the last five years. Even though they diverted air traffic away from the poles, no one was the wiser that a large solar storm was occurring.

NASA reports that there will be a peak in solar flare activity somewhere between 2012 and 2014, though we should not be alarmed. If you are over the age of 11, then you have already survived uninterrupted through the sun’s last peak in solar flare activity.

What is more likely, and more damaging is a CME.

Coronal Mass Ejection (CME)

Along the same lines as the solar flare is a coronal mass ejection, or CME. This is when the sun, through a giant explosion, throws particles and electromagnetic stuff into the Earth’s atmosphere. Depending on the size of the CME, it can blow out electric transformers and mess up our satellites. In 1989, Texans were able to view the Northern Lights because of a CME. The same CME caused six million people in the United States and Canada to be without power for nine hours.

Asteroid Impact

OMG! The sky is falling! Literally. And I’m not just being a Henny Penny either. Sixty-five million years ago, an asteroid that was six miles wide wiped out the dinosaurs. A complete extinction requires an asteroid only one mile wide.

NASA is constantly monitoring space junk and estimates when and how close falling junk will be to Earth. On the radar right now is Asteroid 99942 Apophis, which is 300 yards wide. It is big enough to wipe out Los Angeles, and Asteroid 2012 DA14, expected to pass Earth on February 15, 2013. Asteroid 2012 DA14 is 164 feet wide. A mere rock by space scientists’ standards, but in 1908 a 131-foot “space rock” completely flattened 772 square miles of forest in Tunguska, Siberia. In comparison, the impact of the asteroid was the same as if 185 nuclear bombs were to go off. It killed wildlife, caused a seismic shockwave felt in England, and changed the way of sunlight reflection. Reportedly, people could read outside at night in Asia.

Since its discovery in 2004, the probability of Asteroid 999942 Apophis hitting earth has dropped, but NASA reports that it will still make a very close call to Earth. Apparently, 18,300 miles away in space distance is close. Really close. The asteroid is supposed to pass us on April 13, 2029.

Supervolcano

Jason Charles, a New York firefighter and a 9-11 first responder is a declared prepper. Featured on an episode of Doomsday Preppers, he says he is preparing for a supervolcano, “If the volcano goes off today, it would take two days for the ash to circle the globe, block out the sun and that’s when the bad stuff really starts to happen.” Jason isn’t wrong. If a supervolcano was to erupt, it has the potential to release so much ash, soot, sulfur, and carbon dioxide to change the Earth’s climate.

A supervolcano occurs when magma builds up underground and there are not enough holes for the volcano to release all the steam, resulting in the volcano to spit out all of its magma at once. Scientists have found evidence of 50 supervolcanoes all over the world. Yellowstone is one of them.

Yellowstone’s crater has risen 10 inches in the last 10 years. Scientists predict that if it were to blow, three feet of ash would cover half of the United States. In our lifetime, massive non-supervolcano eruptions affected climate, air travel, and caused casualties.

Is Yellowstone about to spit out its wrath?

Is Yellowstone about to spit out its wrath?

Supervolcano eruptions occur on average every 600,000 years. We are now 40,000 years overdue.

Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP)

An electromagnetic pulse or EMP is the result of a nuclear bomb or an electromagnetic bomb (e-bomb) built for the purpose for creating an EMP. According to the Washington State Department of Health Office of Radiation Protection, an EMP is the “ionization of air molecules by gamma rays generated from the explosion. These gamma rays ionize the air molecules by interacting with the air molecules to produce positive ions and recoil electrons called Compton electrons.”

Yes. I know. It sounds like something from a sci-fi movie, but what an EMP does is very real. The reaction is not radioactive, but it does cause complete failure of all electronic systems. In 1962, an EMP from testing hydrogen bomb Starfish Prime 900 miles off the coast of Hawaii knocked out the streetlights in Oahu. An EMP clearly would pose “a real threat to the nation’s critical infrastructure.” (Washington State Department of Health Office of Radiation Protection) An EMP would have the power to disable computers, satellites, radios, railways, phone lines, electrical lines, and access to water, communication systems, television, and radar. Translation? Life as we know it would stop.

Quite a few countries, including the United States have admitted having non-nuclear e-bombs, specifically made to destroy communication systems.

Economic Collapse

There is not one person I know who has not felt the blow our economy has gone through in the past four years. Some of the politicians would like to tell us that the global recession is over, but as of February 2012, 12.8 million US citizens were still unemployed and the average hourly earnings had only risen by 15 cents since February 2011. (Bureau of Labor Statistics) CBS news also reports, “The national debt also now exceeds 100 percent of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product, the total value of goods and services.” This means that if you took every dollar made by every person in the USA all year and used every single penny to pay down the national debt, we still would not break even. Pretty scary, huh? Besides that, gas prices are not slowing down either.

Experts say that increased fuel costs means that our economy slows down and in March 2012, we are seeing another spike in oil prices. As of March 10, 2012, the price of oil per barrel is only $35 less than the record-breaking price in 2008. If gas prices got so high that big rigs could not afford to transport goods, everything would come to a screeching halt.

Is the state of our economy getting better or are we on the way to the “Second Great Depression?”

Pandemic

You may think we had an easy flu season this year with no global outbreak of swine flu or bird flu. However, the first quarter of 2012 reported 20 cases of the bird flu H5N1 to the World Health Organization (WHO), 60 percent of those infected died. Just because the media frenzy is over does not mean that the flu is not.

Right now, the flues we do know about only transfer from human to human, but American and Dutch scientists have created an airborne H5N1 strain. Meaning just breathing in the air, you could contract the bird flu. When an influenza virus arises, we are all susceptible, because our bodies have yet to build immunity to the new flu strain.

According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, “U.S. airlines carried 730 million total system passengers during the full year 2011.” That is a lot of people in close contact with each other. Let’s say a sudden and horrible strain of new flu breaks out in Indonesia and half those passengers catch the flu. That is 365 million infected airline passengers. In the worst-case scenario, two percent of those who got infected die. That is 7.3 million deaths. Not even to mention how many of those infected, in turn infected others. It is not unlikely.

Is super H5N1SHTF flu on the way?

Is super H5N1SHTF flu on the way?

The Center for Disease Control’s Division of Global Disease Detection and Emergency Response reports that they discovered five brand new pathogens to the world in 2010. Two of those discoveries were in Thailand. If you know anything about Thailand…what happens in Thailand, doesn’t stay in Thailand.

So yes, 2012 was a pretty easy flu season for us in America, but that may not be the case next year.

Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen in 1999 said,

“With advanced technology and a smaller world of porous borders, the ability to unleash mass sickness, death, and destruction today has reached a far greater order of magnitude. A lone madman or a nest of fanatics with a bottle of chemicals, a batch of plague-inducing bacteria, or a crude nuclear bomb can threaten or kill tens of thousands of people in a single act of malevolence. These are not far-off or far-fetched scenarios. They are real-here and now.”

Will December 21, 2012 be our last day on Earth? Probably not. Will we see doomsday during our lifetime? No one knows. On the off chance it will happen, I want to be prepared for it. So should you.

  3. “If you know anything about Thailand…what happens in Thailand, doesn’t stay in Thailand.” I wonder if my stepson’s immigration from Thailand taking four years was a result of this. I guess it’s time for him to learn to shoot before someone accuses him of bringing the pandemic.

  4. And what exactly do you recommend to us for preparations? What would you suggest the average household do in each one of these catastrophic events?

  5. As I have stated before. It only takes one rock to break a light bulb. It might be a slim to non chance but it is still only one. And one chance to win a lotto is still one chance and someone ALWAYS wins at some point during the game. Right? or wrong.

  6. Also, out of all of these scenarios, only one or perhaps two can be prepared to live a little longer. Six months or a year would be good if you can maintain a replacement for your stores when they start running out. When it comes ” and I do think it’s coming ” I for one hope it goes out with a big bang. Maybe debris and single cell life forms from the earth will fall on a far far away galaxy and human’s might be able to start over from scratch. And this time not f–k it up…

  7. I have been studying this stuff for several years. SEVERAL! I do not think that the world will just be do e in, that it will be the end for all of us, but I stead a change in pace. I am leaning towards the solar flares. This is the most limy to happen since it HAS happened before back 2003. The black out in the northwest that politicians say was a malfunction! Scientist say other wise. It was caused by a solar flare. The sun has hot spots just like earth, yea I know the whole thing is hot, but what I mean is volcanoes. The spot where this solar flare came from is an active spot or volcanoe. The scientist scale these flares on the X scale. What caused the blackout was rated at a X7. Seven days later they recorded an X37 from the same spot. Good thing it was facing away from us! The largest ever recorded UNTIL lately. That same spot has producing solar flares that have scaled up to X128. And guess where that volcanoe will be pointing on December 21, 2012? You got it, toward earth. Now, you might wonder why we should care and how did it cause the blackout??? Electro matic pulse (EMP)! This will set us back to the stone age. Oh but wait, the governments of the world have thought of this and are prepared, right?! Nope, there are about 10 grid systems in the North and South American regions, how many backup systems do we have to replace them when they go out? — 3! Europe, Asia, and that part of the world have 5 backups for 36 systems. So, the government might be ok, but do you think we will taken care of? You will have to defend against retards out to party on the weak. Good luck! Stay Frosty!

  10. I`ll tell ya, not only do I believe a cataclysmic event of enormous proportions will happen this Dec., I have felt this inside and the feeling is growing! Not because the Myan calander or the fact that we are living in the times of revelations (don`t call me a bible pusher) but because our Govt. has been preparing THEMSELVES for YEARS!!! Clandestine underground bases, which by the way is where all those trillions have gone, and they haven`t the decency to let the public know what`s going to happen. What a perfect sinario to slice the population and start thier New World Order, thier one world government. Alot of you might say I`m crazy, but I believe what my parents told me years ago…better to be safe than sorry. If I`m wrong well, I got lots of extra food, water, guns, and ammo. Right? Good luck come doomsday. God Bless, and Cheaper than Dirt….thanks for all the awesome stuff!!!

  12. Wow, I see a few of the crazies have come out… Doesn’t anyone know a little something, something? To help inform those masses that are either too lazy or to stupid to find the answer which is right in front of them, the world is not going to end in 2012. The simple fact is that this year, according to the Mayans, has already pass. Let me explain. There have been roughly 514 leap years since Ceaser created it in 45 BC. The Mayan calender did not account for leap year… That would make this time frame, that we live in, well in to 2013. So technically the world should have already ended.

  13. It looks like we’re doomed anyway. If the world doesn’t end because of a natural disaster. The crooked politicians will end our existance anyway. One thing’s for certain. If we are destroyed through financial colapse. Those we elected, and brought about the colapse, will climb aboard taxpayer owned and funded jets, and fly off to their taxpayer funded bunkers. Bunkers loaded with gold, silver, and years of supplies. All paid for with taxpayer money. Whatever causes the end of our existance. I’m willing to bet that even if it’s considered a natural event. Somewhere along the line our so called leaders have had a major hand in it. Ironic, when it’s all over for this planets civilization. If anyone’s left, it will more than likely be the people ho caused it.

  14. I think the biggest thing we have to pay attention to is the REAL possibility that comrade Obama will be re-elected and one of the 5 conservative justices will either die or retire. Then you can bet your last dollar that Heller will be re-visited and our 2nd amendment right will disappear. Nevermind the false prophesies from a bunch of jungle dwellers who couldn’t make it past the 16th century.

  15. Well, I will tell you what, I plan on being prepared…but that said….I also know the Bible has been right for thousands of years and I am putting my faith in it….READ IT! As Christians, where we go to from here is wonderful….we do need to be prepared, the good Lord gave us a brain to comprehend, eyes to see…use them….but also know that when all else fails, we ALL will die someday….and after that the Judgment….! I have no problem at all recognizing that I am a sinner…we all are and that Jesus died in his innocence for our sins so we wouldn’t have to….how ungrateful would I be not to accept such a wonderful gift?

  16. Any of the above scenarios of the article qualify and justify the idea of prepping. CME? Happened before, will again. Smacked with an asteroid? Not so much, but now and then over the history of earth but resets the species on the planet back to near zero. Tornado, earthquake? Every day, somewhere on the planet. The idea is, if you survive the initial event, then having prepared for ‘something’ will have you better off than the guy who expects the ham fisted government to take care of them and everything else. Katrina and aftermath is a fine example.

    Comment by Silas Longshot — June 3, 2012 @ 8:27 am

  17. Being prepared for the end of days or a big natural event such as a snowstorm, tornado, earthquake or others is a natural pursuit. Man has been storing food and supplies since they could tote an extra meal with them. Bad times come and go. Horriffic things that will cause the earth to stop rotating, and the likes are not survivable. Pandemics, financial chaos, and terrorism attacks and the like are…. These events will be relatively short lived…… Six months to a year should cure most of it… Preparation depends on your location, resources immediately available, social circle and general mental and physical health. Having enough stuff is important, but having a close knit group of like minded people is more important.

Being able to pull guard 24/7/365 is virtually impossible. If you need to secure food and shelter in conjunction with that, it is hopeless. Having a set of people to help, and share resources is the most important aspect of survival. These people provide support, care and physical resources needed to continue on. After the initial crisis, combinations of these groups will come together to re-establish order on whatever scale is needed, local or national. Don’t under estimate this, and think that you can “lone wolf” for any extended period of time.

I am not talking about creating militias or separate groups to act as separate marauding gangs. I am advising you assessing which family members, neighbors and other nearby associates would be most likely to fit in with your plan. Knowing that each of these people bring certain skills and resources to the group enables you as a planner to expand your “package” above and beyond aborigine level. If your local group can share multiple generators, and fuel and security systems in a single or multiple locations, everyone can benefit.

Why would you heat up 4 or five locations for 4 or five small groups when a single location could provide the same shelter????? Same same for security, and more aspects of a survival.

Having multiple skill sets, no matter how simple or comlex is huge! Persons who know electricity, small and automotive motors, plumbing and heating, security, carpentry, medicine, pharmacy, food prep, farming, animal husbandry and many others add to the groups ability to sustain themselves. People with communication and leadership skills are valuable as well as the ability to just do hard labor without being driven….. You should also consider those people who can get along with others in difficult scenarios….. Divas, bullies and whiners might not be desirable, no matter the skill set.

Having all the cool stuff is great and CTD can provide a lot of it. Having the right mix of human resources is critical. Best of luck and lets hope an pray we never need to use it. And lets do our best to change our political environment in November!

  18. You are all a bunch of fucking crazy paranoid conspiracy theorists. Let’s get real here. All of that above stuff about natural disasters happening WILL NOT occur during December 21, 2012. WE might get hit by an asteroid around 2040, BUT that is still a lot of time for scientists to find a way to make sure the asteroid does not hit us. Also CMEs will NOT DESTROY THE FUCKING EARTH! What WOULD OCCUR is that the Earth’s magnetic field will be stressed ONLY A LITTLE BIT. The WORSE that could happen are mass power outages and auroras as far as the eye can see. BUT YOU WILL NOT FUCKING DIE! Call me a Godless Liberal if you want, I would be very proud of that.

  19. There are a lot of folks who believe diffent things. I personally have been thru many major hurricanes in my life starting with Audry in the late 50′s. Somethings you can’t prepare for and others you can. Question is what is comming your way and no one can know that. I prepare for the worst weather seasons and I also moved off the gulf coast to high ground. Funny thing is that some storms killed people right here where I moved to. You can’t fool mother nature.

You also can’t run around paranoid either. Fear is the worst of things to have in your preparations but now healthy respect for mother nature is cool. Bad choice it could get really cold. I think Fema and Scouting have the best solutions. Get the Emergency Prep book from Fema, look at what happened in real disasters and the governments best response to that. Prepare for those time. I have about 2 months for two people put away in non perishable food stuffs and plan to have more over time but not much. I over prepared so I would have extra for my friends or families. I have personal protection because of what happened in earthquakes but more because of what happened in my home town of New Orleans. I wasn’t there for that one but some family was. I don’t have enough to fight the battle of Armagetton but enough to keep people honest. I realy don’t see how anyone could carry around a couple hundred weapons but we have what we could carry and some repair parts if needed.

I would rather enjoy life and not worry but be a realist at the same time. I have been thru those storms and the worst were Audry, Camile and Betsy for me. I never spent more that a couple or 4 weeks having to fend for myself. Anything greater than that, my soul is prepared for the next place and I can accept that. Each to his own.

Cal we have almost daily reminders from small quakes that we need to have preparations for our families, and where possible our friends.Outlaw6 what you said is great. I have many of those skills, as do my friends who are like minded. I am working on gardening skills now and trying to get my neighbors involved too. I think with the economy going south,we really need to push our personal prepping as much as possible, while we still have the funds.I see more yard sales as people start to go under, making last ditch efforts to bring in some cash.My wife and I are doing the same, basically getting rid of things that will not be of use to us in a emergency, while making room for prep stuff, like my Dillon re-loader. Also my short wave. Good luck to us all,and Gods speed!

  22. The end of the world as we know it is not the end of the world. Personally, I think that it is obvious that our trials will come through our government, which is bought and paid for by the people/entities that are intent on controlling all. The best we can do is to stock up on the essentials – food, water, firearms, ammo, and knowledge to exist without the amenities (electricity, plumbing, transportation) we take for granted. Love as best you can and hold your loved ones close. God bless the Republic.

  23. In the introduction, the author writes that, “a zombie apocalypse is pretty silly, huh?” Well, lets examine that specific possibility in more detail. We have all heard of the “manchurian candidate”, MK-Ultra experiments and mind control tests that the governments, CIA and other dark forces of evil have worked on for years, no decades, maybe centuries, remember the INQUISITION? Have we ever received definitive results that disprove the theory that remote control assassins can be created? no. (read Jesse Ventura’s book, 63 documents…)
We are all familiar with subliminal messages that were used in the 1950s no less and their effectiveness at moving the masses to buy popcorn and sody-pop at the concession stand, right?
We all have seen hypnosis acts at the local comedy club or on tv and been amazed at how these idiots can do the most ridiculous and bizarre things that conscious people would or could not do, right?
Well, if you ask me, watching FOX news is setting up a majority of the population for being turned into, well for lack of a better word, ZOMBIES!! dunt done duuuuuuuuuuuuuun.
(read as musical impact, now cue up the twilight zone soundtrack…do do do do do do do, tweetly deet bund da da dump)
It would not be a far leap to suggest that the powers that be, namely the illuminati and all the world’s govts and media they control- are programming the couch potato generations to respond to a hypnotic/mind control/delayed suggestion key word that would turn those of weaker minds into flesh-eating, brain dead, enemies of the free-thinking public like you and me.
We need look no further than the zombie movies themselves to see how this scenario would play out, step by step.
The signal comes and all the sudden your mother and father, wife, brother, son or daughter turn on you and begin acting as if they are possessed by the devil wanting to scratch your eyes out or shoot you with your constantly loaded firearm meant for the nazi-minions from the FEMA camps ready to haul you off. But now you are too busy deciding if you should kill those you love or seek refuge in the protection of the govts holding cells. TOUGH CHOICE HUH? THIS besides the risk of super-volcanoes and asteroids as well.
ALL THREATS CONSIDERED, better prepped than not, eh?
FINAL MESSAGE HERE IS TO TURN OFF THE TELEVISION, Radio and other sources of media influence in your home like videogames, DVDs, popular music and maybe even youTube.
Who knows how far these tyrants will go to exterminate the population. Like the Patriot act and NDAA isn’t far enough? God help us all.

  24. To reduce our current economic situation as just a cause of our President’s policies and thinking the impending apocalypse will hinge upon the outcome of November’s election is rather shortsighted and ignorant. No politician on either side of the aisle has your interests in mind. The deterioration of the world economy has been developing for years and years and greed is the enemy, not any one politician specifically. The corporations are holding court now, not lawmakers. Politicians are worthless individuals who aren’t pretty enough for Hollywood so they go to Washington. I don’t care which party you swear allegiance to, none of them have done anything remarkable in the past 20 years. One thing we should all agree upon is…the only way to survive is to be ready. No matter what doomsday scenario you find most comfortable, you have to be prepared. Some are more realistic than others, but being prepared is all you can do. Having a pissing contest about who’s theory is more realistic is stupid and about as pointless as arguing who should be president.

  26. The experiment is scheduled to end on 12/21/12. There are several false theories, designed to create confusion and degrade the validity of this claim. The Mayans had nothing to do with it. There are so many things that may happen – the LHC in Europe is scheduled to bombard atoms unlike any experiment before. Supervolcanoes are due to erupt. Water is running out. Economies are collapsing. But there is hope! There may be one among us who possesses the ability to save us all.

  27. Better safe than sorry. Better to have and not need than to need and not have! All that and more can happen, the way the world, governments mostly, are acting, it makes you think who is who and what are they doing? I am preparing, I may not need it or it might not help, but I ain’t going down without a fight! I trust my animals more then people, especially politicians.

  28. First, and foremost, anybody who knows ANYTHING about the Mayan long-count calendar knows that it does not say, “The world will end…” yadda-yadda. It says it is the end of an AGE, ONLY! The reaason there were no more calendars after the last one was simple: the Mayan priests were an elite group who passed their knowledge on making calendars by word of mouth (no archeological dig has ever discovered any instructions on how to make them, to date, have they…?), and with the dispersal and disappearance of the Mayan civilization this knowledge also disappeared.
So… Will the world end on 12/21/2012? Unequivocably, NO!!!
Will a new age begin, ACCORDING TO THE MAYANS? Yes, definitely!!!
Let’s just pray we can survive our own idiocy, to learn a little more intelligence and enlightment…

  29. I just love how some call us “preppers” crazy! Those are the ones who will come running for help `cause they don`t have shit! Those are the ones who will be caught with there mouths wide open and their pants down, an embarrassing situation indeed. If we lose ALL power for months or even years this country will fall apart. No power means no banks, no communication no transportation (EMP) no stores. rgomezer says we will NOT be hit by an asteroid…How the FU– does he know? We, and I mean the astrologists can only THOROUGHLY scan 3% of the sky! And I`m not saying that`s what is going to happen, take hurricane Katrina and how FEMA reacted (That`s just an example). The fact that the earth has befallen an attack from mother nature is nothing new, it`s happened before, and that`s a scientific FACT! It will undoubtably happen again. To be prepared for it makes no one a “crazy” As a matter of fact, to not prepare and sit on your lazy ass eating potatoe chips and watching TV declaring those who DO prepare for a natural disaster to be “crazy” well…. who is really the crazy one? Call me what you want, just don`t come to my door when your starving because you didn`t prepare (rgomezer) to mention a few. No need to get rude or irrational with you, as you will only be doing yourself in. Good luck and good ridens as far as I`m concerned non-preppers. I won`t need to worry about defending myself from the likes of you, you`ll already be dead.

  38. I don’t think any of these events will happen, I do think that the earth will end one day as prophecies in many religions or spiritual groups of people. We probably will never really know the exact time as if you study religions, you will notice that God created everything from it’self and we are all connected and going through events in life that may or may not be entirely pre-planned or determined by own actions. But, God lives in us, and is the empowerment of people themselves….. I think this life is temporary and may right be a learning curve for the created souls.

Will the Earth come to an end? I dont think so.

Will something change on Dec. 21 2012? There is always change, including my second ticker on my watch changes every second…… what I think the Mayan calender really was to be exact?

In my own opinion, the Mayan Calendar incorporates the uses of a type of “Age”, imagine one day in a month equals 100 years.. well we have avg. 31 days to a month… and the Ages is just a tool for counting thousands of years……

will we be entering a new Age, ? (calendar mechanism) of course we will…. we have been counting time since we started living on earth, we already passed many Ages already…. And, I do believe that Time is measured by our planets, sun, moon, solar system, galaxy and universe….

So, we will always be changing time, it’s just the way it is… no body knows when the earth will end…

  40. If you believe that the world is going to end with another planet hitting or they will be natural disasters your wrong our father who is in heaven wouldn’t allow that at all i know that when our lord steps foot on earth on judgement day he would leave some sinners that disobey the 10 commandments the worst ones on planet earth so they can see the world end and the not so sinner and the ones that have faith in our father would go to paradise with our lord and angels..! The moment you her saint micheals trumpet chant our lord is on his way to earth..! So if you believe that the world is going to end becuase the mayas predicted it your wrong everything is just fine and we are going to live for many years..! So have faith on our lord pray pray pray and love one another and stop the hatred..! And believe that theres our father jesus christ and our mother Mary..! Taking care of all of us and looking down on us

  41. Let’s see what the new scuttlebutt will be to replace the 12/21 nonsense. Many people made a lot of money off of this foolishness and the crackpots all emerged from everywhere like earthworms. I wish that people would be as attentive to events and issues concerning our Second Amendment Rights, as diligently as they have paid homage to the rumor mongers-at-large. Sad part is, most 12/21 kooks are college graduates.

  42. TO: rgomezer… by the use of so many curse words all I can say is that you lack the intelligence of a normal human being. If you are, as you say “proud to be a liberal” you only have that right because you live in America, specifically the U.S.A. Being the liberal that you are, and a STUPID one at that, you probably should blog on another site. Have a nice day…MORON!!!
